MAJOR CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES

    ALL INDIA TENNIS ASSOCIATION

    -The All India Tennis Association, is the governing body of tennis in India. It was established in 1920 and affiliated by International Tennis Federation and Asian Tennis Federation.

    • ** Ranking System takes into consideration, tournaments played during the last 52 weeks:

      Under-12 category

      -Rankings are prepared on the basis of best six tournament results, played in India, of singles along with the 25% of the best six tournament points from doubles plus the points earned from U‐14.

      Under-14 category

      -Rankings are prepared on the basis of best six tournament results, played in India, of singles along with the 25% of the best six tournament points from doubles plus 25% of the total points earned in Asian ‐ U14 plus the points earned from U‐16. NOTE: The new system will be {25% of the best three (3) tournament points earned in Asian ‐ U14, played in India.

      Under-16 category

      -Rankings are prepared on the basis of best six tournament results, played in India, of singles along with 25% of the best six tournament points from doubles plus the points earned from U‐18.

      Under-18 category

      Rankings are prepared on the basis of best six tournament results, played in India, of singles along with 25% of the best six tournament points from doubles plus the points earned in ITF multiplied by 2, plus the points earned from Men’s / Women’s.

      Mens and Womens singles

      -Men’s / Women’s best six AITA tournaments played plus the points earned in ATP/WTA multiplied by 5 (in the case of WTA only of the ranked players), Plus points earned in ATT tournaments multiplied by two, plus points given by AITA(3-2-1) for the qualifying matches in $ 15 K & $ 25 K ITF tournaments, played in India.

      CHAMPIONSHIP SERIES / TALENT SERIES(3 Days):

      -32 Main draw (Boys & Girls) (23 Direct, 8 Qualifiers, 1 Special Exempt) The Qualifying Draw will be open Sign in for qualifying will be between 1200 & 1400 Hrs on Friday & Main Draw sign in will be between 1200 & 1400 Hrs on Sunday.

      SUPER SERIES

      -32 Main draw (Boys & Girls) (23 Direct, 8 Qualifiers, 1 Special Exempt)
      -48 Qualifying (44 Direct Entry plus 4 Wild Cards)
      -Girls – 32 Qualifying (28 Direct Entry plus 4 Wild Cards)
      -Sign in for qualifying will be between 1200 & 1400 Hrs on Friday. There will be no sign in for MainDraw.

      NATIONAL SERIES

      -The Main Draw for Boys & Girls will consist of the following:
      -Boys- 64 Main draw (55 Direct Acceptance 8 Qualifiers and 1 Special Exempt
      -Girls- 48 Main Draw (39 Direct Acceptance 8 Qualifiers and 1 Special Exempt)

It is mandatory that a player must personally sign in on the sign sheet provided by the referee/organser.

    ASIAN TENNIS FEDERATION

    The Asian Tennis Federation is a non-profit organization affiliated with the International Tennis Federation. It is a continental body of national tennis associations of Asian countries.

    Ranking

    a) A Players combined ranking shall be compiled on the basis of points earned in their best six (6), individual singles and / or doubles event with in the Asian 14&Under Series Tournaments.
    b) The players ranking will be used for making acceptance list and seeding purposes. The ATF office will publish the rankings regularly on the internet and the organizers would be responsible for obtaining the required rankings from the ATF Asian 14&Under Website
    c) The official published rankings will be calculated on a 52 week roll over system.

    Qualifying draw size

    A large majority of tournaments will have a qualifying draw size of 32 places or 48 places. Exceptions that meet the criteria below may be permitted at the discretion of the ITF.

    Flexible Tournament Scheduling

    Match scoring format remains the same

    • Singles Main Draw: the best of three (3) tie-break sets. Ad scoring must be used.
    • Singles Qualifying: the best of three sets, with two (2) tie-break sets, and if one set all, one match tie-break game (10 points) shall be played. Ad scoring must be used.
    • Doubles Draw: the best of three sets with two (2) tie-break sets, and if one set all, one match tie-break game (10 points) shall be played. No-ad scoring must be used.

    Minimum draw sizes for ITF Junior tournaments by grade are set out below. The minimum draw sizes for Grade 1 tournaments will be from 48 to 32 in 2020

    Those players accepted into the draw based on their success in the Qualifying competition. Following are the number of Qualifiers based on the draw size:

    WTA FINALS

    Singles and Doubles competition formats

    The singles and doubles competitions both are a draw of eight (8) players and teams, respectively, in a round robin format with two (2) groups of four (4) players and teams. The winner and runner-up from each group qualify for a single-elimination-format semifinal and final.

    Ranking points

    The ranking points that a Finals Singles Qualified Player earns at the WTA Finals count as a bonus Tournament in calculating her WTA Ranking (her WTA Ranking includes seventeen (17) Tournaments). A player who competes in the singles competitions of both the WTA Finals and the WTA Elite Trophy earns ranking points only from the tournament that provides the highest net increase to her total WTA Ranking points as of the Final Race Standings.
    The ranking points that a Finals Doubles Qualified Player earns at the WTA Finals count towards her WTA Ranking if they are part of her best eleven (11) results.
    The WTA Finals ranking points for the singles and doubles competitions are 125 points for participating in each round robin match, 125 points for each round robin win, 330 points for a semifinal win, and 420 points for the final win, as summarized below:

    Ranking points in Elite Trophy Singles

    The ranking points that an Elite Trophy Singles Qualified Player earns at the WTA Elite Trophy count towards her WTA Ranking if they are part of her best sixteen (16) results.
    A player who competes in the singles competitions of both the WTA Finals and the WTA Elite Trophy earns ranking points only from the tournament that provides the highest net increase to her total WTA Ranking points as of the Final Race Standings.
    The WTA Elite Trophy ranking points for the singles competition are 40 points for participating in each round robin match, 80 points for each round robin win, 200 points for a semifinal win, and 260 points for the final win; provided, however, that Elite Trophy Singles Wild Card Players and Promoter-named Elite Trophy Alternates do not receive participation ranking points.
